FM RADIO BROADCASTING

FM broadcasting is a method of radio broadcasting using frequency modulation (FM) technology. FM is used worldwide to provide high-fidelity sound over broadcast radio. FM radio stations use the 88-108 Mhz VHF frequency band in the Philippines.

FM RADIO OPERATING PARTNER PACKAGE

ACWS-UBNI proposes to enter into joint venture arrangements with prequalified parties (Operating Partners) who will undertake the required investments to put up FM Radio Stations (Community Broadcast or Public Broadcast) in select areas in the Philippines. The Operating Partners will subsequently operate and maintain the radio stations and market broadcast station services carrying a common brand. ACWS-UBNI shall be responsible for securing the regulatory approvals (i.e. permits, licenses and frequencies) for the radio stations. ACWS-UBNI shall likewise handle all regulatory matters and coordination with the National Telecommunications Commission

COMMUNITY BROADCAST

500W, 300W, 100W

With a minimum radial coverage of 20-40 km, Community Broadcasts are intended for broadcasting of unique, timely and relevant content to a local audience or community of interest. Recommended for educational institutions, non-profit organizations, local entrepreneurs, religious organizations, and similar institutions.

PUBLIC BROADCAST

5KW, 3KW, 1KW

Public Broadcast is intended for covering diverse subjects such as politics, news, entertainment, and advocacies in a wider coverage area of 60-100 km. Recommended for local entrepreneurs or investor groups with diverse businesses and/or wide networks of business contacts.

BENEFITS TO OPERATING PARTNER

  • Independent FM Radio Operation and Programming

  • Revenues from advertising, block timers, promotional items, sponsorships and others

  • Availability of a broadcast medium to push their own businesses and/or advocacies

  • A front seat in the list of important movers in the community

  • Fully compliant with NTC rules and regulations

RESPONSIBILITIES OF OPERATING PARTNER

  • Render a one- time Operating Fee described in the package

  • Assignment of one hour of programming slot daily to ACWS-UBNI

  • Operating royalty equivalent to 5% of gross revenues per month

  • Strict compliance with all broadcast laws, rules and regulations

  • Provision of antenna tower, FM radio equipment space, broadcast studio space and standby generators

RESPONSIBILITIES OF ACWS-UBNI

  • Secure licenses and frequencies for the Operating Partner Station

  • Supply, installation and commissioning of the complete broadcast station package including transmitter, broadcast console, audio processor, on-air studio booth peripherals, streaming, recording system, engineering and design services

  • Training of Operating Partner personnel on operations and maintenance, broadcast operations, radio state programming, content requisition and design of sales and marketing programs

  • Digital marketing support
