ABOUT US

ACWS United Broadcasting Network Inc. is a company engaged in the business of radio and television broadcasting. It is a holder of a Legislative Franchise issued by the Philippine Government  and subsequently renewed in 2003. In 1980, it started with its first radio station in Cebu which operated under the call sign and frequency 96.3 DYRK with a pop rock genre. In 1988, the station was rebranded and reformatted to 96.3 WRock, with a soft rock music format.
In 2008 following the acquisition of WRocK Manila by another broadcasting group, the format of the provincial WRocK stations were refocused to cater to an Internet Radio audience.
Shortly thereafter, the 96.3 radio broadcast was transferred from ACWS-UBNI to its sister company, Exodus Broadcasting Co.
In 2015, a new group of investors acquired ACWS-UBNI with the vision to pursue a new business focus for the company. ACWS-UBNI thus applied for and was granted a license for a nationwide Wireless Cable Television (Multipoint Video Distribution Service or MVDS) operations in addition to its FM Radio Station licenses. To realize an aggressive rollout of its radio and cable TV operations, it also adopted a new business model of engaging operating partners for both FM and Wireless Cable TV under a franchising concept. This Operating Partner Program allows entrepreneurs with passion for broadcasting to establish and operate their own radio and cable television business without going thru the lengthy and tedious process of acquiring a legislative franchise and applying for licenses and frequencies.
